About Keith Hirshland, Author
Keith Hirshland is a sports television producer and writer with more than three decades of experience and an Emmy award under his belt. During his career, he produced shows that aired on ESPN™ and ESPN2™. He was later was among the first 40 people hired by the Golf Channel™ in 1994. He was in the middle of the action when it premiered in 1995 and provided his talents to the network for close to two decades.
Hirshland's first book, Cover Me Boys, I'm Going In: Tales of the Tube from a Broadcast Brat, is a memoir of his time in sports television, based on his personal journals. After that book was complete, he realized how much he loved writing and began working on a mystery novel.
Big Flies hits stores in August. This second book was a completely different animal from the memoir, and functioned as a creative release. His writing is characterized by humor and compassion, and he hopes that his books are enjoyable for readers. He currently lives in Peapack-Gladstone, New Jersey, with his wife and a Bernese Mountain Dog.
